On November 15, 2017, the State Specialized Forest Protection Enterprise "Kharkivlisozakhyst," together with the Luhansk Regional Forestry and Hunting Administration, held a methodological seminar on forest protection at the base of the Sievierodonetsk Forestry and Hunting Enterprise. All forestry and hunting enterprises of the Luhansk Regional Forestry Administration participated in the seminar. The main topics of the seminar focused on the timely detection and containment of forest pest outbreaks, as well as conducting sanitary and health measures in accordance with the current "Sanitary Rules in the Forests of Ukraine." The seminar covered key issues such as outbreaks of the most dangerous stem pests, mass outbreaks of pine looper moths, and pine sawflies, including their biological development, monitoring methods, and control measures. The event included photo and video presentations, as well as a field trip to a pine sawfly outbreak in the Sievierodonetsk forestry.
