During wartime, everyone strives to be useful. Undoubtedly, we all want to see our personal contribution to victory here and now. But everyone should be in their place and engage in professional activities. Otherwise, the economy simply won't function, and defending Ukraine will become more difficult.
Foresters in the Khmelnytskyi region continue to perform their state duties daily. Currently, all enterprises of the Regional Forestry and Hunting Management Department are actively preparing for the spring forest cultivation campaign.
Sufficient planting material has been grown. Twice as much seed material from tree and shrub species has been prepared compared to last year - almost 51 tons. Soil has been prepared in areas where afforestation will be conducted.
Forest restoration will be carried out according to approved projects. Forest plantations will be created through planting and sowing in cleared areas. Attention will also be paid to natural regeneration and protective afforestation.
Enterprises of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Forestry and Hunting Management Department plan to create 453 hectares of forest plantations this year, including 60 hectares of new forests on lands unsuitable for agriculture. The largest forest restoration is planned in Izyaslav, Slavutsk, and Shepetivka forestry enterprises.
This is the minimum afforestation task, as the President's "Green Country" program continues. If territorial communities in the region allocate more land for afforestation and greening, state forestry enterprises in Khmelnytskyi region, having sufficient resources, will be able to plant significantly more trees than planned in cooperation with communities.
