As part of the annual public campaign of the State Forestry Resources Agency of Ukraine, "The Future of the Forest in Your Hands," which this year is held under the general slogan "Forests and Education," on March 21, 2019, specialists from the Kharkiv Forest Protection Service conducted a lesson on forest knowledge and its inhabitants with first-grade students of the Pokotylivka Lyceum "Promin".
It was pleasant to realize the good level of knowledge of young students in the field of nature studies. The lesson was held in the form of an active dialogue – students asked questions, showed interest in our work, and, importantly, correctly answered questions about forest behavior rules. The children's reaction to what they heard was far from childish. The boys and girls know what a forest is, who lives in it, and what can be harmful to the forest (pests, fires, litter).
