On May 7, 2025, an important training event took place at the Novhorod-Siverskyi Forestry Branch of the "Northern Forest Office" of SE "Forests of Ukraine". The event was organized by specialists from the State Specialized Forest Protection Enterprise "Kharkivlisozakhyst". Such initiatives have already become a good tradition that contributes to improving the professional level of forestry workers, exchanging experience, and strengthening partnerships between various forest structures.

This time, the main topic of discussion was primary needle- and leaf-eating pests that pose a threat to the stable functioning of forest ecosystems. The spread of these pests not only negatively affects the biological stability of plantations but also creates preconditions for large-scale disease outbreaks and tree mortality.

During the meeting, specialists provided comprehensive information about the biological characteristics of the main pest species, their impact on different forest types, and emphasized the importance of a systematic approach to detecting and controlling populations of dangerous insects. Special attention was paid to the need for regular forest pathology monitoring and maintaining ecological balance in forest areas.

The training was conducted in an atmosphere of constructive dialogue. Participants had the opportunity to ask questions, discuss real challenges they face in their daily work, and hear practical advice from experienced colleagues at "Kharkivlisozakhyst".

The event once again confirmed that only through continuous knowledge improvement, professional training enhancement, and close cooperation between foresters can we ensure the proper level of protection and conservation of Ukraine's green wealth.
