As part of international scientific cooperation with the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU), the State Specialized Forest Protection Enterprise "Kharkivlisozakhyst" has received modern equipment for field and laboratory forest pathology research.

The photo shows part of the new technical equipment already in active use by the company's specialists:

Wöhler VIS 320 Video endoscope - a device for visual inspection of internal tree cavities and other hard-to-reach areas;

Nikon laser rangefinder - for precise distance measurement, allowing assessment of tree spatial distribution and potential infection sources;

Garmin GPS navigator - for navigation and marking survey locations in the forest;

Pressler increment borers - specialized tools for collecting wood cores to analyze tree rings, wood condition, and detect pathologies, among others

The received equipment will enable "Kharkivlisozakhyst" specialists to perform forest monitoring and pest/disease control tasks even more effectively.

The upgrade in technical equipment will facilitate the implementation of modern diagnostic and monitoring methods, as well as strengthen scientific ties between Ukraine and EU countries in the field of forest ecosystem conservation.
